Built around your operation. We confirm phone routing, booking and CRM compatibility, messaging permissions, and escalation rules during setup. Features vary by plan and connected systems. Examples on this page are demonstrations.
Done for you, not another DIY project

We Handle the Setup. Your Team Gets Relief.

Your calls need more than a generic greeting. We learn your hours, boarding policies, appointment process and escalation rules, then build and test around them. You approve how your agent speaks and when it brings in a person.

    1. Step 1

      We learn your business.

It starts with a thorough business interview, not a form. We ask how your business really runs: what you do, who calls, what they ask, and where things fall through the cracks. We call this your Business DNA.

Every company has strengths and gaps. Finding the gaps is what makes this more than someone answering the phone. It's about making your whole operation more productive.

    2. Step 2

      We organize your knowledge.

We organize your services, visit-request process, approved prices, boarding requirements, hours and human handoff rules. The agent uses the information you approve, rather than improvising policies for your practice.

Clear source information and ongoing review help keep answers useful and consistent.

    3. Step 3

We train and test your agent.

We test the calls your team actually gets: a rushed pet parent, a holiday boarding inquiry, a refill request and someone who needs a person. Then we refine the answers together.

We also test multi-part questions, unfamiliar requests and unsuccessful transfers, so the fallback is planned before launch.

    4. Step 4

      We set the guardrails.

We instruct your agent to use approved information, avoid medical advice and route uncertain or sensitive questions to a person. AI can make mistakes, so we test these boundaries and review calls.

Your veterinarian sets the urgent-call protocol. The AI does not diagnose, approve refills or decide that an animal can safely wait.

    5. Step 5

We connect it, test it together, and go live.

We attach your agent to a phone number and test it ourselves. Then you get the number and test it too. When you're happy with how it sounds, it goes live.

New holiday hours, a changed boarding policy or a new on-call contact: we update approved information as your operation changes.

    Questions, answered

    Everything you want to know.
    Before the first ring.

Phone coverage, bookings, software, pricing and getting started.

    After-hours answering

Who answers my kennel’s phone after hours?

Answer My Phone — an AI phone agent built for boarding kennels, daycare, and grooming. When your desk is closed, our system picks up in a natural conversation, books or takes the next step, and texts follow-ups so the call isn’t lost overnight.

What happens if nobody answers the phone at my dog daycare?

If you use hybrid mode, the front desk rings first; after a couple of rings with no pickup, Answer My Phone answers. After hours you can set AI-only so every call still gets a real conversation instead of voicemail.

Can AI answer my pet business phone at night and on weekends?

Yes. After-hours and weekend covering is a core Answer My Phone feature. Callers get a natural conversation — booking, questions, or emergency routing — through our system, not a keypad menu.

Is after-hours phone answering worth it for a boarding kennel?

Yes if you lose bookings to voicemail. Missed evening and weekend calls often mean empty runs. Answer My Phone keeps those conversations alive so inquiries can book while you’re closed.

    Booking & appointments

Can AI book appointments for my vet clinic?

Yes, with a supported scheduling connection and your clinic’s booking rules. Our system can confirm appointments where that connection allows it; otherwise, it sends your team a complete request to approve. It works alongside your practice software and does not replace the medical record.

Can AI book dog boarding reservations over the phone?

Yes, when your reservation connection supports confirmed bookings. The agent gathers dates, pets and services, then confirms an available stay or sends a clearly labeled request for staff approval. It can also text an intake or confirmation link.

Does Answer My Phone use a phone menu or press-1 options?

No. There is no IVR keypad menu. Callers talk naturally; our system books, greets known callers by name when possible, and routes emergencies without making them punch buttons.

Can the AI fill empty spots on my kennel schedule?

Yes. During the call it can softly offer extras that fit — more nights, daycare add-ons, or grooming while boarded — to help fill open capacity without a hard sell.

    Hybrid desk + AI

Can my front desk still answer first during the day?

Yes. Hybrid mode rings your desk first. If nobody picks up in a few rings, Answer My Phone takes over so calls don’t die while staff are with dogs.

    Will AI replace my receptionist?

No. Your team stays first in line when you’re open. Answer My Phone covers overflow and after hours so humans aren’t chained to the phone during peak drop-off.

    Software & integration

Does Answer My Phone work with my existing pet business software?

Answer My Phone works alongside pet-business software through a connection path confirmed during onboarding. Depending on your software and account, that may mean a live data connection, read-only context, or a structured text/email summary for staff entry. A staff handoff does not automatically update your software.

Does Answer My Phone work with Gingr?

We can design a phone workflow alongside Gingr. Live access and supported actions must be confirmed for your account; if automatic reservation creation is unavailable, your team receives a structured booking request to enter or approve.

Does this work with AVImark or Cornerstone?

Yes, through a staff handoff workflow. Answer My Phone captures call and booking details and sends a structured summary for your team to enter in AVImark or Cornerstone. This does not imply a live software connection or automatic calendar update.

Do I have to switch software to use Answer My Phone?

No. Answer My Phone works alongside the software you already use. We don’t replace your PMS or boarding system.

    Caller ID & customer experience

Will returning customers hear their name when they call?

Yes when our system can match their caller ID to your contacts. Known boarders get a familiar greeting; unknown numbers get a clean business greeting.

Do pet owners talk to a robot that sounds fake?

Answer My Phone is built for natural conversation — booking details, soft upsells, and calm emergency handling — not a stiff phone tree. The goal is a call that feels helpful, not like a menu.

    Texts, links & cancellations

Can you text my customers a confirmation after they book by phone?

Yes. After the call, our system can send a confirmation SMS and links for intake, payment, or directions.

Can customers reschedule or cancel by text?

Yes. Our system can text a change or cancellation link that follows your policy, including a 48-hour window if you choose. Automatic updates require a supported booking connection; otherwise, staff confirm the request.

    Emergency & after-hours pet care

What if someone calls about a pet emergency after hours?

Callers reporting an emergency leave the routine booking flow and receive your approved emergency instructions. The agent can provide your designated emergency clinic’s number and attempt a configured transfer, with a fallback if the call is not answered. This is veterinary referral routing, not 911 dispatch, diagnosis or a guaranteed connection.

Who do I call if my dog is hurt and the kennel is closed?

Contact an emergency veterinarian directly if your pet needs urgent help. If your kennel uses Answer My Phone, its normal number can also provide the designated emergency contact or attempt a configured transfer. Do not wait for a booking callback to seek urgent care.

Does Answer My Phone call 911 for people emergencies?

For pet medical emergencies it routes to the business’s configured emergency veterinary / ER numbers. Life-threatening human emergencies should still use local emergency services (911 in the U.S.). The agent is trained to keep pet-urgent calls on the pet ER path.

    Vet hand-off & dual booking

Can the AI pass a caller to their veterinarian?

Yes, when an approved transfer destination is configured. Boarding stays follow your kennel workflow; veterinary requests go to the approved practice or contact. Booking directly into another clinic’s calendar requires that clinic’s authorization and a supported connection.

Is Answer My Phone only for kennels or also for groomers and vets?

It’s built for boarding kennels, daycare, and grooming, with vet scheduling as a supported use case. Same idea: phones answered, appointments booked, emergencies handled.

    Pricing

How much does Answer My Phone cost?

Answer My Phone is $497 per month. An optional Google Reviews / reputation manager add-on is $197 per month. The full bundle is $694 per month.

What’s included in the $497 plan?

Phones answered and manned through our system — desk-first when open, AI on overflow and after hours, booking on the call, SMS confirmation, and emergency dispatch patch-through to your configured ER numbers.

Is there a cheaper plan just for after hours?

The standard Answer My Phone plan is $497/mo and covers after-hours plus daytime overflow. Ask during onboarding if you need a custom hours-only setup; published pricing is the $497 / $197 / $694 set.

Do I pay extra to connect my software?

Phone answering and booking on our system are included in the plan. Deeper live connections are set up in onboarding for your stack; we’ll tell you what’s included before go-live.

    Reputation & Google reviews

Can Answer My Phone help with Google reviews?

Yes as an add-on. The reputation manager uses text asks after visits and on-location prompts at the counter or drop-off so you grow authentic review volume. Unhappy customers stay free to leave a public Google review — we don’t gate reviews.

    Will this hide bad reviews?

No. Answer My Phone’s reputation path never blocks public Google reviews. Private feedback is optional for fixing issues; Google stays open.

    Getting started & setup

How long does it take to set up Answer My Phone?

A new-number soft launch is targeted for about three to five days after required information and phone setup are ready. Existing-number ports may take about two to four weeks, depending on the carrier. These are planning estimates; integrations and approvals can affect timing.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. Compatible call forwarding or porting may let you keep your existing business number. A new number is another option for a soft launch; we review your carrier and routing before recommending a path.

What do I need to provide to get started?

Business hours, after-hours rules, emergency clinic numbers, boarding/shot rules, and which software you use. If you add reputation, Google Business access helps. We handle most of the system setup on our side.

Is there a contract or can I try it?

Ask for current terms on a walkthrough — pricing above is monthly. We’ll confirm start date, number plan (new vs port), and add-ons before anything goes live.

    Trust & “everyday systems”

What does “Everyday systems” mean on the Answer My Phone website?

It means simple integration with the pet-business software you already run. The logo strip under that banner shows everyday platforms we work alongside — not a claim that those companies endorse us.

Is Answer My Phone affiliated with Gingr, IDEXX, or Covetrus?

No. All trademarks belong to their owners. Answer My Phone works alongside those systems; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

    Setup & support

What happens if the AI does not know an answer?

It says so and offers a team follow-up or a configured handoff. It must not invent a policy, price, integration, booking confirmation or medical answer.

Do I have to build and train the agent myself?

No. We organize your approved information, configure the call flow and test it with you. You provide business details and approve the answers and routing before launch.

Can customers still speak with a real person?

Yes, through configured transfer paths when someone is available. If a transfer fails, the agent uses your fallback instructions and captures a follow-up request where appropriate.

    How do I sign up?

Request a walkthrough or select a plan for review. Forms and plan selection in this concept preview do not submit information or take payment.

    How does support work?

Your onboarding agreement will confirm the support number, coverage and escalation process. The public demo line and customer support line are separate roles; neither is connected in this preview.
